FB-SEC-15 · conduct

Purpose
Write the Chief first. Do not email the Board. Call to the Public is still open.
When any dispute arises concerning the Concho Fire Department, policies, procedures, personnel issues etc., the complainant shall notify the Chief in writing specifying the nature of the dispute and a list of possible actions to remedy the situation. The Chief shall have a maximum of 10 days to respond to the complainant. If the complainant is not satisfied with the response from the Chief, the complainant may request the issue to be resolved by the Board. Written or verbal complaints shall not be sent directly to members of the Board. Members of the Fire Department are not prohibited or discouraged from addressing the Board as taxpayers during the “Call to the Public”. Approval block still printed on the 2026 draft: The SOPs were approved at a legally convened Board meeting of the Concho Fire District on Thursday, July 3, 2014 — Tracy Candelaria, Chairman; Dennis Ambrose, Clerk; Pat Murphy, Member. That stamp has not been refreshed. Treat 2026 text as the working desk copy until the Board re-approves.
