Minimum Standards

a. Proficiency in donning PPE is essential. Minimum standard for donning PPE will be 3 minutes or less from street clothing to “on air” or the firefighter will not enter any IDLH environment. b. Firefighters are required to remain physically fit and proficient in the use of all firefighting equipment. c. Firefighters are required to attend at least three training meetings per quarter. Exceptions will be on a case-by-case basis approved by the Chief or Assistant Chief. d. Training meetings are on Thursdays each week. You are expected to attend and participate. e. All interior attack personnel shall be minimally qualified by passing the Arizona State Firefighter 1/2 testing and demonstrated proficiency in donning, doffing and qualified use of their PPE.
