Purpose
Finish selection on the job.
Body
PURPOSE: Complete the personnel selection process by providing an on-the-job evaluation period. Default window is six months (SOG §3). Officers review attendance, achievement and suitability. The period may be extended. Officers + members refer the trainee to the Fire Board for full membership. Initial probationary personnel do not have the same dismissal-appeal rights as members who have cleared probation.
