POLICY (opening): Whether in uniform or not, members shall conduct themselves in a manner that does not bring the District into disrepute.
Do not abuse lawful authority. Do not enforce Fire or Building Codes off-duty unless a clear emergency requires it, and do not threaten to enforce codes or withhold a duty in retaliation.
SOG §13 lists removal causes (drugs, certain felonies, impairment on a call or at training, theft, insubordination, missed training, unsafe acts, harm to reputation). The Chief may terminate for those.
